Had a client today in Draper who phoned me up asking if I could locate power and water for him as he was fed up digging looking for it…………..then he told me he had got his divining rods out but hadn’t found it. I will admit to having a chuckle at the divining rods statement, then I met him and he also told me he found his bore with the divining rods years ago at a decent depth when everyone told him there was no water there. This “dude” and I mean A PROPER DUDE was 78yrs young and in his attempts to find the power and water had dug holes that guys 40 years his junior would have been proud of. He was a few metres from the water pipe and about 4 meters off the electrical and we had a laugh about it and he said he will retire his divining rods and get me out in the future. I love meeting old School guys like this and could have happily spent the day talking to him and bet he had loads of great stories.
